What is the procedure of getting academic email?

Please note that after receiving a requisition and submitted data verification, a password set-link email from The Google Workspace Team will be sent to you shortly. (Sun- Thurs within office hours). Desired Email ID Option 1 *Please write down your desired email ID (Option 1) such as xyz@cu.ac.bd

Desired Email ID Option 2 *Please write down your desired email ID (Option 2) such as xyz.cse@cu.ac.bd

Existing-alternate email ID *Very important. After the creation of email, email applicant will get an email at his/her existing-alternate email's (Inbox or Spam Folder) for their new password set-link and it will be valid for 48 hours only.

Important Instructions (Read before submit!!!)

** After submitting this form, you will get an autogenerated email from ICT cell, University of Chittagong.
** After successful creation of your academic email, you will get an email from The Google Workspace Team (workspace-noreply@google.com) containing subject "You have a new Google account for University of Chittagong". Please set your password and a recovery email in case you forget your password later.
** Please wait 1-2 working days (max) for your academic email to be created. If you do not get an email from The Google Workspace Team, then contact shimul.ict@cu.ac.bd

Instructions and Troubleshooting

Set up Google Workspace on an Android device

Go to gmail app and click add account option. Select type as Google and write your full academic email and password and wait for couple of seconds. Then you are good to go.

Set up Google Workspace on an iOS device

On your iOS device, open the App Store and search for a Google app, such as Gmail.
Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the app. You might need to enter your Apple ID and password.
When the installation is complete, open Gmail App
Tap Sign in and then Google and then Continue.
Sign in using your full academic email and password
If you want to receive notifications from Gmail, tap Allow.
